About Syhood
Syhood is a catalog of everyday textile accessories and small supplies. 913 products across 15 departments. Almost everything is sold by the pack: hats, bandanas, socks, gloves, sewing notions, craft supplies, seasonal lines. A dozen bandanas, three hundred yards of zipper tape, two pairs of gloves. The pack is what you buy. What we publish is what is stated: sizes, pack counts, materials, care. Prices carry dates, so you know when a figure was last updated. What we do not do matters as much. We do not invent a fact. We do not restate a measurement that was not given. We do not publish a rating nobody gave.
How our packs are made
We think in batches. The pack is the unit of work, not the piece. A dozen bandanas or three hundred yards of zipper tape: the question is always the same. Will every piece in the bag match the one on top?
Counts get weighed first, then spot-counted by hand. Scales catch the big mistakes. Fingers catch the small ones.
Colors are matched against a kept reference swatch, never the previous batch, so drift can't creep in pack after pack. Each batch starts from the same original, not from whatever came before.
On samples pulled from every batch, we check fabric edges, print alignment, and elastic recovery by hand. The stretch has to come back. The print has to line up. The edge has to hold.
The people doing this work also write the measurements on this site. The person who checked the swatch writes the color name. It keeps us honest, and the description true to what's in the bag.
The people at the bench
There is a drawer in the workshop that holds the reference swatches. One of each colour we work in, kept from the first batch that looked right. When a new batch arrives, the person on the bench pulls the drawer open and holds the fabric up next to the swatch. No memory involved. No guessing. Just the colour, side by side, in good light.
The same person writes the measurements you see on this site. The one who weighed the pack, spot-counted the pieces, and checked the elastic recovery. The colour name you read is the one they wrote down after the side-by-side.
We think in packs, not pieces. The question is always the same: will every piece in the bag match the one on top.
What this site publishes
- Stated sizes, counts, colours and materials, quoted as stated. A missing fact stays missing.
- Prices with the date of our last update. The checkout price at the moment you order is the one that applies.
- Care guidance per material, written carefully and outranked by any care line the specification itself states.
Ordering, payment, delivery and returns happen at checkout, wherever you place the order.
